Daughter of the Forest (The Sevenwaters Trilogy)
by
Juliet Marillier
The Mists of Avalon
and The Fall of Atlantis
by
Marion Zimmer Bradley.
Anne Bishop
writes fantastic books but they are NOT G-Rated, or even PG. Likewise the
Kushiel books offer some amazing storytelling.
'Seventh Son (Tales of Alvin Maker, Book 1)' and it's sequels are good. A
retelling of sleeping beauty,
'Enchantment', is great.
'Ender's Game (Ender Wiggin Saga)' isn't a fantasy, but has to be one of my
favorite books of all time. All by
Orson Scott Card
Robin McKinley
'Beauty : A Retelling of the Story of Beauty and the Beast'
'The Hero and the Crown'
'The Blue Sword'
Other authors to look out for if
you like fantasy are
Tamora Pierce
and Patricia C. Wrede (Check out the kids book page), Jane Yolen,
Jennifer Roberson,
,
Holly Lisle, and
Terry Pratchett.
I've included links to their exciting
home pages. Check them out!
